Thursday, July 9
12:30 p.m. - Felix Grundy / GC Sports Hall of Fame 3 person Best Shot – Town & Country Golf Club – Shot Gun Start, $45 per person, steak dinner to follow. Everyone welcome! Sign up at soon as possible. Contact Rick Briggs at 319-824-3291 or 319-825-5295.

Friday, July 10:
All Day – Enjoy Self-Guided Tours at the Bethany Bible Garden – Located West of the Bethany Presbyterian Church, 315 G Avenue . Implemented in 2005, find four biblical theme areas: Water, Garden, Field and Harvest, Dry Riverbed.

12:00 a.m. to 9 p.m. - LeRoy & LuLu, Kingdom Klowns – Courthouse Square

12 p.m. – 9 p.m. - Food Venders – Courthouse Square

1 to 4 p.m. - Free tours of the Herbert Quick School

2 p.m. to 9 p.m. – Inflatable Rides & Other Fun – Courthouse Square

2 p.m. – 6 p.m.   – FREE QuickDraw Caricatures, Courthouse Square . Sponsored by Liberty Bank.

4 p.m. – 8 p.m. – Pop Bottle Toss, Courthouse Square , Knights of Columbus

5:15 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Music by the Chad Ralston Family, Courthouse Square .

6 p.m. – Good Cents Junior Parade – 8th Street to Courthouse Square

6:30 p.m. – Opening Ceremonies – Courthouse Square

7 p.m. – Higher Power – Bandstand, Courthouse Square . Sponsored by Kruse Christmas Farm.

8 p.m. – 11 p.m. –Teen Dance –  United Methodist Church Parking Lot. Sponsored by Kiwanis Club.

8 p.m. – 1 a.m. – PT Grillers Food Concession – Community Center

8 p.m. – 1 a.m. – Walk the Red Carpet and Dance to the sounds of Disc Jockey, Pretend Productions. Beverage Garden , and food vender provide for a fun night under the stars. ID required at Beverage Garden .  Limo rides will be available, 8 p.m. – 11 p.m. , for $2.00 a person. Dance is FREE.

Saturday, July 11:

7:00 a.m. Doubles tournament Felix Grundy Days - $10 entry per team, Team can be Coed, Two classes based on experience, Start at 7:00 on the 11th. Bel Pre Park and High School Courts. Number of entries will determine number of sets played or time limit, each team must furnish two sleeves of tennis balls.  Picture in paper and trophy for winners.  Proceeds will go to Grundy Center high school Boys tennis team.  Call Mr. Baade at 319-404-8801 to reserve spot in tournament and information about time of first match.  Entry fee will be payable day of tournament.   

7 a.m. – 3 p.m. BBQ Contest, Community Center Parking Lot. Sponsored by Bacon Veneer. Awards at 3:00 p.m. at the Bandstand. Contact Grundy Community Preschool and Childcare Center for more information.  

7:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. – Community Breakfast – GCHS Commons. Sponsored by Dollars for Scholars.

7:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. – All School Reunion – GCHS Commons

7:00 a.m. – 5K Fun Run/Walk GCHS Football Field. Open to all, entry fee that includes t-shirt. Contact Andrew Peters apeters@spartanpride.net. Registration 7 – 7:45 a.m. at concession stand at High School track. Family Fun Run begins at 7:30 a.m. at track. Race begins at 8 a.m. with race finish around track.  Medals awarded to top three places in each age group: 11 and under, 12-15, 16-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and older. Entry fee is $15 per person which includes a t-shirt, Registration forms found at Grundy National Bank, Liberty Bank, library, YMCA, Eberline Chiropractic, and GCMH. Race is sponsored by the GC Wellness Committee and The Grundy Family YMCA.

9:00 a.m. Registration for Car & Motorcycle Show, West of Courthouse Square .

10 a.m. – ECI Open (Eilers Construction Inc.) – Town & Country Golf Club (formerly called the Kooba Open) Open to all! Sign up at the golf course from 5-7 p.m. Friday night. $25.00 a couple. Contact Mark Eilers for more information at 319-231-4004.

5 p.m. – FREE rides on Molly Jo Trolley – load/depart at GNB ‘round bank’ location, 529 G Avenue

5 p.m. – Announce Parade Winners, Bandstand, Courthouse Square

8 p.m. – 11 p.m. – Teen Dance – United Methodist Church parking lot. Sponsored by Kiwanis Club.

8 p.m. – 1 a.m. – PT Grillers Food Concession – Community Center

9 a.m. - Non-denominational outdoor church service at the Courthouse Square .
